This section of the Vanguard Way is one of the most scenic in the High Weald. Starting from Eridge station, traverse the Eridge Park deer park, cross through Harrison's Rocks climbing area, and descend into the charming village of Groombridge.
The route has some significant hills but rewards with varied scenery — open parkland, sandstone outcrops, gill woodland and panoramic ridge views. Allow time to explore Groombridge Place Enchanted Forest if it's open.
