Start at the Gill's Lap car park and follow the well-marked trail through open heathland with panoramic views across the forest. The path descends through pretty woodland to the iconic Pooh Sticks Bridge, where you can play the famous game. Continue the loop through the Enchanted Place — a ring of pine trees on the hilltop — before returning to the car park.
The route is well-drained and suitable for most of the year, though some sections can be muddy after heavy rain. Dogs are welcome but must be on leads during bird-nesting season (March–July).
